Our first summer school took place in Tallinn, Estonia, a small yet remarkable country that greeted us with its cozy airport and surprisingly sunny weather. Hosted by TalTech, we began with a crash course in quantum physics, where abstract concepts became easier to grasp through analogies and visual examples we could link to our research. Beyond the classroom, walks through Tallinn Old Town and visits to redevelopment areas like Telliskivi and Kalamaja, alongside protected heritage sites, sparked reflections on how real estate creates long-term value for society. Fast-paced group tasks and presentations kept us both challenged and connected. A fantastic beginning, we cannot wait to meet again in Zurich this November!
