Assistant Professor at the Department of Green Technology, University of Southern Denmark
Dr. Wu Chen is an assistant professor at the Center for Life Cycle Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark. Her research focus on material flow analysis and the circular economy. She aims to decode material-energy-emission nexus in green transitions in construction, transportation, and agriculture systems. In recent years, her research about sustainable transition and resource management has been published in high-profile journals such as One Earth and Nature Communications. Her works have been covered by domestic and international media. She was selected for the Young Scientist Summer Program at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) for exchange and learning. She was also elected as a researcher at the global climate fighter non-profit organization Project Drawdown and has received the European Young University Exchange Award and the Nordic Energy Challenge Award.
She is the work package leader of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Networks for the research programme QuiVal. She is supervisor of the Doctoral Candidates (DCs) DC6, DC7 and DC8.
Wu Chen is involved in a number of other projects including the Horizon Europe projects WASTELESS (https://wastelesseu.com/), TREASoURcE (https://treasource.eu/ ), and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action International Staff Exchange Programme WINDHY (still to start).
