Associate Professor in Management of Engineering Projects at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft)

Dr Eleni Papadonikolaki is Associate Professor in Management of Engineering Projects and Head of Section Integral Design & Management, leading an inter-disciplinary team focusing on integrated design and project management of major infrastructure. Eleni is an Associate Editor for the International Journal for Project Management (IJPM) – the leading journal in project management – with a focus on technology.

Her research interests are on projects, innovation, digital transformation, collaboration, integrated teams and digital ecosystems from a sociotechnical perspective. Eleni is also Founding Partner at Digital Outlook, a business partnership focusing on research and executive education on digital change through which she has trained hundreds of managers and leaders. Eleni combines academia with industry practice and is passionate for collaborative and industry-relevant research helping project teams manage the interfaces between digital technology and projects.

Eleni is the Royal Academy of Engineering Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow 2022-23 and author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and conferences and she has attracted and delivered multiple collaborative research projects as Principal- and Co-Investigator funded by European and UK research councils.
