Associate Professor New Economics in the Built Environment, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment
Dr. Daan Schraven is Associate professor, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft University of Technology, is situated in the of the Real Estate management section at the department of Management in the Built Environment (TU Delft). He leads and coordinates a research team on new value models in the built environment. In this role, he is the principal investigator on seven projects about economic implications of the sustainability transitions in the built environment, including De Circular Road (http://www.decirculaireweg.nl; 2020 – 2027), Adaptable Design Pathway Transitions (https://www.nwo.nl/projecten/43920807; 2022 – 2026) and Inclusive Wise Waste Cities (IWWCS; 2020 – 2024). He is board member of the Centre for Sustainability of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus institute (2023 – present) on Circular Cities and Regions. Daan is the scientific programme co-coordinator of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Networks for the research programme QuiVal. He is supervisor of the Doctoral Candidates (DCs) DC1, DC2 and DC9.
